Engineering Technician – Currency Validation
JOB SUMMARY:
Perform in-country note collection, note data collection, and note acceptance performance testing using bill validator products and associated proprietary support software

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. 85-90% travel to regional countries containing currencies for which bill validators are developed
2. Plan and coordinate travel based on development schedule agreed upon by engineering manager
3. Collect banknotes for purchase and test/evaluation
4. Identify banknote denominations/printings in circulation with country
5. Capture banknote data from multiple products while in-country
6. Use proprietary support software to identify all banknote printings
7. Test performance of new currency software
8. Fully document circulated banknote details and performance of products while in country
9. Transfer all documentation, data and results directly to engineering while in country
10. Support engineering development and management by executing special requests as required
11. Interact and coordinate with in-country contacts (for access to banknotes) including:
— Banks
— Customer representatives
— Distributors
— Large OEMS
— Casinos
12. Keep current on new and existing products (and associated support software) by attending training sessions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree in engineering, computer science, or mathematics
1-3 Years experience working in a customer service/engineering department with a technical support background

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to travel internationally without restrictions
Excellent bilingual verbal and written communication skills in both English and other European language is required
